We are looking for an analytical and engaged individual to join our investment management firm. The Research Analyst will be someone who enjoys the fundamental investment analysis necessary to make long-term investment decisions.
Primary Responsibilities
Work closely with Director of Research and portfolio managers to evaluate both equity and fixed income investment opportunities
- Perform company-specific fundamental analysis; including a thorough assessment of management, financial statements, business opportunities and valuation
- Create and maintain financial models and valuation analysis
- Monitor company news flow, examine regulatory filings and third-party research
- Introduce new investment opportunities
- Perform industry-level analysis
- Periodic attendance at industry conferences and meetings
- Twice weekly presentations to Van Cleef Investment Committee
- Ad-hoc opportunities to participate in client related projects and meetings
Qualifications

- Undergraduate degree with a focus in finance, accounting or economics
- Additional accounting coursework is a plus.

- Exceptionally thorough and organized
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications (Excel, Word and SharePoint)
- Experience with the Bloomberg Terminal a plus
- Comfortable working and communicating in a group environment
